Water Cycle Diagram for Classrooms

Stable Diffusion
By Varun Sharma Tested with Stable Diffusion SDXL 1.0

Water Cycle Diagram for Classrooms is an SDXL 1.0 prompt for a teaching diagram at 4:5. Describing the arrows as one connected sequence is what closes the loop, and blank areas beside each arrow are left for real typeset labels.

How to use this prompt

Never reserve "a blank area for labels" in a diagram prompt. An earlier version did exactly that and SDXL rendered garbled pseudo-words in the space, because naming labels at all is what puts lettering in the model's head — the negative could not undo it. Say "wordless diagram, nothing labelled" instead and add the type in your own editor. The second requirement is describing each arrow's start and end individually; ask for a loop in the abstract and you get two or three decorative arrows and an open circuit rather than a cycle a child can actually trace.

Variations to try

  • Rework as a nitrogen cycle: soil, plants, animals and decomposers with the same arrow treatment
  • Night-and-day split showing the same landscape twice to contrast evaporation and condensation
