Watercolor Lighthouse Dawn
Stable DiffusionWatercolor Lighthouse Dawn is an SDXL prompt for a 2:3 seascape. A whitewashed clifftop lighthouse with a black band, painted as a single wet wash against a graded peach and lavender dawn sky over a calm cerulean sea with rolling cliff mist, produces a loose watercolor seascape with no text.

Prompt
A loose watercolor seascape painting of a whitewashed clifftop lighthouse at first dawn, the tower painted as a single wet vertical wash of warm white and pale grey with a single narrow black band, a soft peach and lavender sky as a graded wet-on-wet wash, a calm sea below in horizontal streaks of cerulean and payne's grey, low mist rolling along the cliff edge as a diluted white band, a few quick brushstroke gulls as dark commas, wild grass on the cliff top as loose green flicks, granulating pigment along the cliff rock, white paper reserved for the lighthouse light, no text, no signature, no frame

How to use this prompt
"The tower painted as a single wet vertical wash" is the restraint switch — without it SDXL renders every brick and the lighthouse becomes a photograph. "A single narrow black band" is the diagnostic marking that reads as lighthouse rather than chimney; without it the tower is ambiguous. "Quick brushstroke gulls as dark commas" is the bird convention that keeps them loose — naming "seagulls" gives you detailed birds. "Low mist rolling along the cliff edge as a diluted white band" is the physical watercolor behavior — generic "mist" renders as fog filter. "Graded wet-on-wet wash" for the sky names the technique; SDXL otherwise produces a flat gradient. The negative prompt blocks hyperdetailing that kills the loose wash.
Variations to try
- Swap dawn for a stormy dusk with a bruised violet sky and a crashing wave against the cliff
- Change the lighthouse for a whitewashed chapel on a Greek island cliff
