Risograph City Skyline Poster
Stable DiffusionRisograph City Skyline Poster is an SDXL 1.0 prompt for a three-ink riso print at 2:3, with an empty bottom third reserved for typesetting. Asking for misregistration by name is what produces the real riso look rather than flat colour with grain applied over it.

Prompt
A risograph poster of a city skyline at dusk printed in three spot inks, fluorescent pink, teal and black, with deliberate misregistration where the layers overlap and the inks multiply into new tones, coarse grain and faint roller streaks across the flat areas, buildings reduced to simple stacked rectangles of varied height, a full circle sun sitting low behind them, a generous flat empty margin across the bottom third with no text, matte uncoated paper texture
Negative prompt
blurry, low quality, smooth gradients, photorealistic, glossy finish, perfect registration, digital vector, cmyk photo print, text, letters, watermark, detailed windows, busy composition

How to use this prompt
Misregistration is the signature of the process, and it has to be requested explicitly — "riso style" on its own returns clean flat colour with a grain filter, which fools nobody who has held a riso print. Naming exactly three spot inks and stating that they "multiply into new tones" where they overlap tells SDXL to build the image in layers rather than mixing a fourth colour on a palette. Keep the buildings as plain rectangles: detailed windows attract dense speckle and the overlaps stop reading. The blank bottom third is the safe place for your own title type.
Variations to try
- Two-ink version in fluorescent orange and blue only, with heavier overlap in the sky
- Swap the skyline for a mountain range and keep the same circle sun and blank lower margin
