Tarot is the rare illustration task where tradition is the feature, not a constraint. A deck has to hold together across seventy-eight cards, each with a fixed name and a centuries-old symbol set, and the prompts below are written to produce art that a real tarot reader will recognise — not a generic "mystical card." Every entry names its artistic tradition explicitly (Marseille woodcut, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, minimalist line, celestial engraving, gothic, stained glass, whimsical gouache) and describes the card's iconographic elements in detail so the model does not have to guess what The Magician holds or how many figures rise in Judgement. The recurring failure across every model is text: no diffusion engine can render clean card titles at 2:3 scale, so every prompt leaves a blank banner panel and asks for no letters. The second failure is counting — asking for "eight stars" produces four or twelve — so the prompts describe hierarchy instead of giving numbers.
